Indonesia
Youth Forum (IYF) is a
forum for young Indonesian leaders for meeting and discuss about the role of
youth in the implementation of the various activities for the achievement of
the MDGs, global issues, current innovations, and strategic aspects of
empowerment for young people. IYF will bring together leaders in the fields of
government, business and others.
The 2nd IYF
will be held on 23-26 May in Bandung West Java Indonesia with the theme of “The
Young Creator : Stand Up, Speak Up, Take Action” which will be attended by 250
young people (Official Delegates) from all over Indonesia. So IYF is a
strategic media to build a network among Indonesian youth in an effort to build
a community that synergistic among young leaders, in search of creative ideas
and innovative solutions that can be made and added value for all parties.
Traversed a
long struggle, indeed not an easy thing. To be one of the delegates elected
IYF, we have to fought against 1013 other people from all over the country and
participated in a series conducted by the selection committee IYF. Ranging from
creating a document that consists of making Social Project, making the
self-description essay, objective follow IYF and the reason why I have to be a
delegate of IYF. All of it is expressed in writing to be selected to be 250
elected to the interview stage. The struggle continued with the interview,
because some of the barriers to information coming into my email that was
entered into the spam folder, I was late getting the interview schedule
information. Fortunately, the committee still gave me the opportunity to follow
interview subsequent use via telephone at 11 pm. The interview process went
pretty good and communicative, that is incredibly young, timeless in achieving
its goals.
I really
appreciate IYF, and my goal is the realization of my responsibility as a youth
to the nation in an effort to realize the government’s business contained in
Pancasila and the MDGs. In addition I would like to extend my relationship with
the people who have the vision and mission objectives both want to build
Indonesia into a better direction. In addition I would like to achieve the
effectiveness of my life with an interest in delivering positive activities
such as IYF. In addition to the event to add information and relationships, I
also want to implement the figure of the young man who has the soul of a leader
in my life.
An activity
to be done during 4 days in Bandung is very representative. I will inform IYF
series of events later in May : National Awakening Carnival, plant 1,000
tree in Cikapundung, Bakti Desa, performances Revival
Culture Collection, Indonesian Campaign to drink milk, Tobacco Control,
HIV-AIDS, 1000 Youth leader for Indonesia , Indonesian Youth Creative Art,
Performance & Exhibition, Workshop, Meet the Leaders, Meet the CEO, World
cafe, Outbound, ISYF Award, Merah Putih Gaya Gue and more.
This
opportunity is definitely one of the best chance for young people. I hope this
event will inspire young people all over Indonesia to jointly build a better
Indonesia, and brings The Real Social Movement Act, so that all goals can be
achieved.
